The inaugural KPGA Genesis Championship already has the feeling of being a Korean Major title, although it has not been given that status yet. If it can attract a purse, field and ticket to the CJ Cup for the winner, it will surely become the KPGA’s Flagship Event.
With $300,000 (approx) on offer for first place, along with a spot in the inaugural US$9.25M PGA TOUR CJ Cup in a few weeks on Jeju Island, this week will one to remember for the tournaments first champion. Could it be KJ??

With only four tournaments left to play on the KPGA schedule, the race for the 2018 European Tour card is looking like it will go right down to the wire. Junghwan Lee still leads the way by a few hundred points over Hyungjoon Lee, but with a win being worth 1000 points and second 600, it can all change before the season ends.
The spectacular Jack Nicklaus Golf Club, the venue of the 2015 Presidents Cup, will be the host this week. The players will not have any complaints about this course, arguably the best in the country.
