A very impressive performance over the weekend handed veteran Ji Hee Lee her first victory of the 2017 season, and no better way to do this than win the most sought after title all year.
On a very challenging golf course, Lee was able to put together a final round 69 (-2) to back up her Saturday 68 and finish the tournament on -5.
Rookie of the year elect Min Young Lee made it a Korean 1,2 by securing solo second with a final round 69. Lee has already won twice this year in Japan and is emerging as Ha Neul Kims biggest threat to the Order of Merit award.
After starting off the week with a solid 68, Kim struggled to rounds of 76, 72 and 73 to finish in T-29th.
Shinae Ahn will take a lot of confidence from her final round 70, which saw arguably the most popular player in Japan finish T-32nd.
One shot worse off than Ahn was Bo Mee Lee, who was never in the running inspite of starting the week with an impressive opening round 70.
Ji Hee Lee takes home a substantial amount of money from this victory, which is the JLPGA veteran’s 22nd Tour win, dating all the way back to 2000!
