A very strong field has been put together for this week’s KLPGA Hanwha Classic. Recently announced as the Tour’s fifth Major, it’s inevitable to see all the members of Team Hanwha teeing it up at Jade Palace.
Making an appearance from the LPGA Tour will be world number four Ariya Jutanugarn and the Korda sisters- Jessica and younger sister Nelly, who is a member of Team Hanwha.
The main story from this week could come from 18 year old Hye Jin Choi. What better way for Choi to make her mark on her professional debut than winning a KLPGA Major? Having won twice already this season, it will be interesting to see how she handles the transition into the professional ranks.
Last week’s winner, her third this season Jeong Eun Lee will be expected to contend again. Lee has arguably the best swing on the KLPGA Tour and is well on her way to topping the Order of Merit, but it is far from a formality. The talent on show not just this week, but every week on the KLPGA Tour is almost second to none. The LPGA Tour better take note; they are going to see a continuation of exceptional golfers from here lift many more titles in the years to come.
