JLPGA: Defending Champ Bo Mee Finding Some Form

Finishing T-7th last week may not seem like a great result for Bo Mee Lee, but it is. Why? Well mainly because she was finally able to produce a strong performance on Sunday, to move up the leaderboard. Is this enough to justify her being one of the favourites to win the CAT Ladies Open? Maybe not, but she is the defending champion.

Lee has not won on the JLPGA Tour since last November, which may not seem like a ‘drought’, but for her high standards it most definitely is. The 20 time winner in Japan has a very consistent and successful run going and this is starting to look under threat.

Since Lee joined the JLPGA Tour back in 2012, she has never endured a winless year:

2012- 3 wins

2013- 2 wins

2014- 3 wins

2015- 7 (yes SEVEN!) wins

2016- 5 wins

2017- 0 wins (so far…)

Bo Mee has proven time and time again that she is a phenomenal golfer, she needs to do this again, and soon. This week would be a great way to do this!
