Another great week for Ha Neul Kim, although losing in a playoff will have left her a little bit disappointed at the NEC Karuizawa 72 Golf Tournament. Kim forced a playoff with a birdie on her final hole, but was unable to clinch her fourth JLPGA victory of the season, losing out to Mamiko Higa.
This week’s result will further enhance Sky Kim’s position on top of the JLPGA Order of Merit and one more win will see her top her previous best haul of three wins during the 2011 KLPGA season. With almost half the season left to play, Kim should achieve this and more, based on her current form.
It was a very promising final round for Bo Mee Lee, who shot a 66, to move her up to a T-7th finish. Of course, in comparison to the past few years, this would not been regarded as a great week, but given the season Lee has endured, this result could be the catalyst she needs to add to her 20 LPGA Japan victories.
Bo Mee is the defending champion of next week’s CAT Ladies Tournament- which offers her up a very realistic opportunity for her to end her winless ‘drought’, which dates back to November last year. It may not seem that long ago, but for Bo Mee, it is.
