JLPGA: Bo Mee Searching For Elusive 2017 Victory

It’s a headline that nobody would have really expected to see this year, especially after Bo Mee Lee’s recent JLPGA domination. But all good things must come to an end, and for Lee, it’s becoming a weekly battle to find the form that has eluded her this season so far. Lee is far from finished, but she needs a strong performance soon, as her struggle to be competitive shows no sign of ending.

2017 is proving to be a very frustrating year for Lee so far, which was summed up last week, when she turned down the opportunity to play at the U.S. Women’s Open Championship in favour of a much smaller event in Japan. Her decision proved to be the wrong one, as she struggled to a T-33rd finish- it would probably have been better to play against the world’s best, in the biggest tournament of the year, even if she missed the cut.

Lee has good memories of the Century 21 Ladies Tournament, having won the inaugural event in 2014. This may give her a much needed boost of confidence, but defending champion Sun Ju Ahn will have something to say on the matter, as she searches for a three-peat of victories at this tournament.
