Defending champion KT Kim shot a final round 69 to finish in T-4th at the JGTO Mizuno Open Golf Championship. This is Kim’s second best finish of 2017, behind his runner up spot in Myanmar. The world number 79 has been out of sorts recently, but hopefully this will give him a much needed boost of confidence for the busy schedule ahead.
Kim also secured his spot at The Open this summer with his top four finish this week. He finished T-53rd last year and will be hoping for an improvement this time around.
Junwon Park finished two shots behind Kim in T-6th and coincidentally he finished just behind Kim in Myanmar also. That T-3rd was Park’s best so far this year, although he does now have two T-6th’s.
In form Sanghee Lee produced another solid week to finish T-9th alongside fellow Koreans D.H. Lee and promising young prospect Seong Jae Im.
It all went pear shaped for halfway leader Byung Min Cho on the back nine today, as a final round 78 saw him slip to T-16th.
