This time last year Soomin Lee was in the form of his life. Having just won the Shenzhen International, Lee showed up at the Maekyung Open brimming with confidence, but fell just short in his playoff loss to Sang Hyun Park.
Lee has struggled ever since, but having recently made a few changes, he looks to be heading back in the right direction. Last week was further proof of this, as his T-9th finish at the Volvo China Open was his best since last year’s Maekyung Open. Lee is expected to be right in contention again this week.
Sang Hyun Park will be back from Japan to defend his title this week, as will all of the top Korean players from the Japan Tour.
The weather is ideal in Korea this week, a big change from last year’s rain. However, this means that the greens will be even slicker, if that is even possible… Namseoul is notorious for providing the ultimate challenge and it will be no different this week.
First up, I suppose I better say hello and thank you for visiting my website, whoever you are. I teach, I write, I caddy, I write, I travel, I write. Mostly, about golf if that interests you. Usually interviews for various publications and blog about my caddy adventures.
