In beautiful spring conditions throughout the three days, it’s the best time of year for golf, which I’m sure Min Sun Kim will agree with!
Kim has now won every year since she joined the KLPGA in 2014, albeit just once each time. Still only 22, Kim will hope to build on this early season victory and make this year her most successful to date.Once again the crowds were out in large numbers to watch the action unfold.
Although Hae Rym Kim and Jeong Eun Lee (both winners already this year) threatened to challenge, it came down to Kim versus Seon Woo Bae for most of the tournament and continued until the final few holes.
Kim faced a strong challenge by Bae for most of the week, right up until Bae missed a short par putt on the 17th, while Kim tapped in for hers, which gave her a three shot cushion with one hole to play.
Kim enjoyed relaxed sunny Sunday stroll up 18, as she passed the last to win by three shots.
First up, I suppose I better say hello and thank you for visiting my website, whoever you are. I teach, I write, I caddy, I write, I travel, I write. Mostly, about golf if that interests you. Usually interviews for various publications and blog about my caddy adventures.
