2017 will undoubtedly be another big year on the LPGA Tour, for the Korean ladies. After picking up 9 wins on Tour last year, along with the imminent return to full fitness of Inbee Park, and the addition of Sung Hyun Park to the tour, a double figure victory tally is certainly a distinct possibility this year.
The LPGA Tour continues to be very competitive, so nothing should be taken for granted, but realistically 2017 has the potential to see the dominance of the Korean ladies taken to a whole new level.
The current crop of talent need to continue to bring their ‘A’ game to the course, as there is an abundance of young stars emerging from all corners, namely Korea of course…this purple patch for Korean ladies golf looks like it will continue for years to come.
This week, at the Pure Silk Classic, defending champion, Hyo Joo Kim will be brimming with confidence, after winning the China Ladies Open in her last start.
With nine other Korean ladies in the field,including two time 2016 LPGA winner Seiyoung Kim, the odds are looking good for the season to open up with a Korean champion.
